CDM +
By Suran Systems
Initial Consultation: The process begins with an initial consultation to assess the specific needs of the organization. This step involves gathering all stakeholders, including the tech team and end-users, to ensure that objectives are transparent and timelines are achievable.
Data Migration: Existing data from the organization's current systems is migrated to CDM+. Expert data technicians handle this process to ensure no valuable information is lost and that data integrity is maintained. This step is crucial to prevent discrepancies and errors in the new system.
Configuration and Customization: The software is configured and customized to meet the unique requirements of the organization. This involves adapting the core functionalities of CDM+ to fit specific business processes while balancing customization with future software updates to ensure compatibility.
System Integration: CDM+ is integrated with the organization's existing systems to ensure seamless interoperability. This step enhances workflow continuity and reduces disruptions by ensuring that the new software works well with other tools and platforms already in use.
User Training: Tailored training sessions are conducted for different user roles to accelerate the adoption rate. These sessions emphasize hands-on practice and real-life scenarios to make the training more impactful and ensure that users are comfortable with the new system.
Testing and Quality Assurance: Rigorous testing is performed to ensure that the software meets all requirements and is free from bugs. User acceptance testing (UAT) offers a glimpse into real-world performance, and feedback from UAT helps refine the system before its final deployment.
CDM+ by Suran Systems can be customized to fit specific business needs. The software is designed with flexibility in mind, allowing organizations to tailor its various modules to their unique requirements. For instance, CDM+ offers customizable reporting tools, enabling users to generate reports that meet their specific data analysis needs. Additionally, the software provides options for configuring different features and access levels for various users, which can be particularly useful for managing roles within an organization.
The customization extends to different aspects of church management, including membership management, contributions tracking, event planning, and facility scheduling. Users can also customize email and online statements, receipts, and other communication formats to align with their organizational standards.
Furthermore, CDM+ supports integration with other systems and applications, enhancing its adaptability and allowing organizations to create a seamless workflow across different platforms.Overall, CDM+ offers a high degree of customization that allows nonprofits and faith-based organizations to optimize the software according to their specific operational needs, ensuring that they can manage their activities efficiently and effectively.
CDM+ offers comprehensive training and support for new users. This includes a range of classes at the annual CDM+ Users Conference, which caters to beginner, intermediate, and advanced users. Additionally, the "Discover What's Possible" webinar series explores the software's features and functions, ideal for both long-time users and those evaluating new solutions
Data Hosting Security: CDM+ includes data hosting in every plan, which ensures that data is automatically backed up securely off-site daily. This helps in protecting data against loss due to local hardware failures or other issues
Secure Facilities: The hosting facilities used by CDM+ offer redundant power and connectivity, along with 24/7/365 on-site monitoring. These facilities are designed to ensure that the physical infrastructure hosting the data remains secure and operational at all times
SOC-2 Certification: Most of the hosting facilities used by CDM+ are SOC-2 certified. SOC-2 is a widely recognized auditing standard developed by the American Institute of CPAs (AICPA), which ensures that service providers securely manage data to protect the interests of the organization and the privacy of its clients
Regular Release Schedule: CDM+ has a history of frequent updates. For instance, the release notes from the AIMMS documentation indicate multiple updates within a year, each addressing specific bugs or adding new features
Management of Updates: When a new update is available, users can download it directly from the CDM+ website or through user notifications within the software. The updates are designed to be backward compatible with previous versions to ensure that existing functionalities remain stable
User Support for Updates: CDM+ provides support for updates through detailed release notes and direct assistance if users encounter issues during the update process. This support is crucial for troubleshooting and helps users adapt to new features or changes
Data Ownership: While not explicitly stated, it appears that clients retain ownership of their data stored in CDM+. The software is designed to manage and process client data, but there's no indication that Suran Systems claims ownership of this data.
Data Access: Clients have 24/7 access to their database from anywhere, as long as they have an internet connection and proper authentication credentials.
Data Backups: CDM+ automatically performs secure, off-site daily backups of client data. This ensures data durability and allows for potential data recovery in case of issues.
Data Portability: CDM+ allows users to export nearly every piece of information it tracks to files for use with other programs. This export functionality suggests a degree of data portability, allowing clients to extract their data from the system if needed.
Data Hosting: Data hosting is included in every CDM+ plan, with data for North American clients hosted on servers owned and managed by Suran Systems.
CDM+ provides flexible plans for organizations to scale their data management systems, making it beneficial for churches and non-profits with changes in size or operational scope. The software's design accommodates varying demand levels without disruptions or new systems. Consultation with CDM+ is recommended for specific terms and conditions.
CDM+'s terms and conditions outline contract renewal and cancellation processes. Users can request cancellation by completing a CDM+ SAAS Cancellation Form. There is no termination fee for the service itself, but fees may apply if a data conversion was performed at no cost. Users must pay all remaining monthly payments for the first year or the standard cost of the data conversion. If a user wishes to re-enroll, they will be considered a new enrollment. If a user cancels their account, they will be liable for a minimum of three months of the standard rate.
General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR): CDM+ incorporates security practices and governance that align with GDPR requirements. This includes documented processes to keep data secure and protected, ensuring that customer data management complies with these stringent privacy regulations
Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA): While not explicitly mentioned in the sources, the adherence to privacy regulations like GDPR often parallels compliance with other data protection standards such as HIPAA, especially in terms of securing personally identifiable information (PII)
