Sage Estimate

Sage Estimate is purpose-built to bridge the critical gap between traditional, error-prone estimating methods and the demands of today’s fast-paced, highly competitive construction market. Rather than relying on outdated spreadsheets or generic estimating tools, it offers a comprehensive, construction-specific platform designed to deliver smarter, faster, and more profitable estimates every time. Built by seasoned construction experts who understand the real-world pressures of bidding, it harnesses the power of trade-specific cost databases, customizable assemblies, and advanced AI-powered takeoff technology to streamline every stage of the estimating process—from the very first quantity takeoff to the delivery of a polished, professional proposal. This means estimators can confidently account for every material, labor hour, and subcontractor cost with pinpoint accuracy, reducing the risk of overlooked expenses or miscalculations. Real-world users consistently report cutting takeoff time by 50% or more compared to spreadsheet-based methods, freeing up valuable hours that can be redirected toward refining bid strategies or pursuing additional opportunities. At the same time, the ability to generate well-structured, branded proposals not only boosts efficiency but also elevates the professionalism of submissions, enhancing credibility with clients and significantly increasing win rates in even the most competitive bid environments. It automates repetitive tasks, eliminates manual calculations and spreadsheet liabilities, and standardizes methodology across estimators—even if each prefers a different working style. The platform supports digital and AI-enabled takeoff, including fully automated tools like eTakeoff Dimension, achieving up to 98% accuracy when extracting quantities from PDF drawings. It’s powered by a robust Microsoft SQL Server database, ensuring fast queries, security, centralized data storage, and accessible historical “estimate vs. actual” data for smarter future bids. Once a bid is accepted, information flows seamlessly into Sage accounting and job-costing modules—eliminating re-entry, preserving data integrity, and keeping everyone aligned from estimating through project completion. It has delivered tangible ROI for companies by saving thousands of overhead hours and millions in costs while dramatically boosting estimator productivity. The platform scales from small specialty contractors to full-service general contractors, offering flexible editions—Basic, Standard, and Extended—to match diverse needs, from quick assembly-based estimates to advanced model-driven workflows with full takeoff, analysis, and conceptual estimating capabilities. Bundled with award-winning support and the largest partner network in the industry, Sage ensures clients don’t just implement software—they accelerate business growth. All of this translates to more competitive bids, reduced risk, consistent accuracy, and the kind of professionalism that not only secures jobs but also wins repeat business and referrals in a crowded market.

The platform’s Microsoft SQL Server backbone ensures centralized, secure, and lightning-fast access to historical data, enabling estimators to compare past performance, refine pricing strategies, and generate consistent, defensible bids. What truly differentiates Sage Estimating is its ability to integrate seamlessly with Sage’s job costing, accounting, and project management systems, ensuring that every piece of data—from material costs to labor hours—flows directly into operations without re-entry, duplication, or data loss. This closed-loop approach means that estimates aren’t just accurate at bid time—they remain a living, actionable part of the project’s financial framework from day one through completion. Additionally, Sage Estimate scales effortlessly, accommodating everything from quick conceptual estimates to detailed, itemized bids for complex, multi-phase projects, making it suitable for small firms looking to grow and large enterprises managing high-volume bid environments. With flexible editions—Basic, Standard, and Extended—companies can adopt the exact level of capability they need today, with the confidence that they can expand as demands grow. Combined with a vast network of certified partners, robust training resources, and award-winning support, Sage Estimate doesn’t just give companies a tool—it delivers a proven methodology for winning more work, maximizing profitability, and building a consistent competitive edge in an increasingly demanding construction market.
